ISTEM_BD (An Innovative learning platform) believes in innovation and creativity. It promotes project based learning where teachers are creative with critical thinking and they continue to discover and devise new methods and approaches to ensure that each students should always get the best learning experiences from here. As a bearer of this philosophy iSTEM is the first educational institution of Bangladesh who took the initiatives for E-learning from 21st March 2020, just after the closure of school ,colleges and other educational institution in response to the Covid-19 pandemic .Government of  Bangladesh declared public holidays to maintain the social distance, hinder the spreading of the annihilatory virus.

In such circumstances the disruption in study is inevitable. But ISTEM bd took the measures to confront this challenging situation and  is committed to support students with e-learning. Initially we planned to conduct our classes through Skype and FB Messenger from 26th March following asynchronous learning via prerecorded teacher’s lectures, providing homework IE sheets,solving problems by mails and texts on FB group & messenger.

Gradually we accelerated synchronous learning (live classes) through zoom. Thus, we are trying to facilitate the learning process for our students in this trying time and hopefully we will be continuing our journey in the coming future too to assist our students. We are also planning to promote blended learning in addition to the face to face classroom after the pandemic so that our students won’t get drenched with books in their bedroom because of online classes.

iSTEM will be always there to support, motivate it’s students with innovative

approaches.To spread this message we are going to arrange 1st International webinar-2020 entitled “Enhancing Teaching Learning Assessment (TLA) Through E-Learning Techniques”on Saturday, 22nd August 2020 to increase the productivity.
